He married Margery Phillips 27 Jan 1606 in Aston Clinton Buckinghamshire, England. Many times, He has been confused with Edward Bates of Boston. The Main difference here is that Edward of Boston had only one son and Edward of Weymouth had many children. He was a Deacon in the Church and a town elder. Edward's wife was Susanna.
