As Bates Association members, we commit to the following:

• To search and compile accurate genealogical records of our ancestors.
• To carefully research and prepare biographical and historical records of our ancestors.
• To compile and maintain the above information on a computer database.
• To share information with our members and other interested parties at a minimal cost.
• To publish an association bulletin on a quarterly basis.
• To maintain an up-to-date membership directory.
• To hold annual association reunions which will provide research and educational opportunities as well as a sharing of records and ideas.
• To maintain a library of appropriate books and other research materials and make their contents available to our members.
